Collaborating with creative colleagues to showcase strength and beauty in Still, an advocacy project for aesthetic flat closure in mastectomy reconstruction

Interrobang founder, Lisa Taft Sylvester, created Still — an Interrobang Design project that is shifting the narrative between breasts and beauty. Through design and photography, Still shares curated and diverse collections of Stories + Images of those who go flat after mastectomy, illuminating the ways they are Still deeply and profoundly beautiful. The Still Compendium, designed for doctors to use in reconstruction consultations, was in 30+ states and 3 countries within 9 months of launch, providing hope and empowerment to those facing mastectomies and making reconstruction decisions. Collectively, all of Still’s projects are actively creating awareness of aesthetic flat closure (going flat) as a valid mastectomy reconstruction option while promoting flat visibility and body positivity.
