Print’s power goes beyond marketing. It also helps businesses transform processes and better serve customers.

Red Poppy Cakery’s time consuming wedding cake tasting process was overhauled — thanks to the owner’s whim (sometimes better known as a brilliant idea!) and savvy print design.

Their idea was to create a dessert catering workbook that could guide multiple couples through a tasting event, as opposed to individual tastings. The resulting workbook clearly outlines everything the betrothed need to know about working with Red Poppy Cakery. It covers logistics like the ordering process, delivery range, options for cake stands. It educates on the anatomy of a cake, if you will, the difference between tiers and layers. Infographics illustrating tier combinations and the their corresponding number of servings make sizing a cake a snap. And, for the fun part, the workbook enables tasters to easily indicate what cake flavor, filling flavor, frosting type, decoration style, and other dessert options (dessert bar anyone?!) they love (and hate!) proving the cakery with clear direction for follow up and booking the order. A thoughtful process tweak and supporting print tool optimized the tasting process to be more comprehensive, efficient, and effective — and upped the experience for their customers.
