Meet Aligned Giving’s new website.

Interrobang designs website for start-up philanthropic consultant firm, Aligned Giving.

Michael Thompson, owner of Aligned Giving, tasked Interrobang to create something out of nothing. While Aligned Giving’s mission, approach, and services had been developed, the look-and-feel of the business had not yet been considered. Interrobang created a site design that beautifully meshes content and looks, authentically representing the new business and setting them up to effectively attract their ideal audience.

Aligned Giving’s website design direction is largely informed by the client’s own photography and a desire to have the site feel connected to Vermont, where Aligned Giving hails from. The color palette draws from the photography, featuring inviting, rich autumnal colors. Aligned Giving’s three service areas are identified by icons and are assigned a color from the palette. These elements are also utilized on each service area’s dedicated page. Compositionally, a modular approach groups like-information throughout the site — a fresh take on ordinary web page layouts and differentiating Aligned Giving from its competitors. Background header images are carefully selected stock photos that correspond with the color palette and nature themes without looking ‘stock”. All of the design approaches developed for the site are the foundation for the business’ budding brand identity and will work beautifully applied to presentation and marketing materials design down the road,
